The deadline for the first grant in this scheme closed on 30 June.

A second is available If you were eligible for the first grant and can confirm to HMRC that your business has been adversely affected on or after 14 July 2020, you’ll be able to make a claim for a second and final grant from 17 August 2020. Find out more here.

The Self-Employed Income Support Scheme to help those whose livelihoods have been affected by the coronavirus outbreak was announced by The Chancellor of the Exchequer on 26 March 2020.

The scheme, which is available to self-employed individuals or partnerships, will provide a taxable grant of 80 per cent of average monthly profits (calculated from profits from the last three years) up to a cap of £2,500 a month. The scheme will be open to those who earn the majority of their income from self-employment and have profits of less than £50,000.
