It has come to our attention that a number of our registrants have received a scam email, either offering to sell them a list of our registrants or a list of attendees at the CNHC annual conference. We have sent an email to all our registrants to inform them of this.

We can assure you that:

  1. We do not sell our registrants contact details or any other mailing lists to third parties.
  2. We are not holding an annual conference.

Read our Privacy Notice and Data Protection Policy.

CNHC has Cyber Essentials Plus certification to ensure appropriate cyber security controls are in place and reduce cyber security risks in supply chains. Cyber Essentials is a Government backed scheme to help businesses protect themselves against a range of the most common cyber attacks and to demonstrate their commitment to cyber security.

The email in question is clearly a phishing email. Phishing is defined as the: “fraudulent practice of sending emails purporting to be from reputable companies in order to induce individuals to reveal personal information, such as passwords and credit card numbers.”

If you receive that email, please do not reply to it or click on any links in it.

We encourage you to report it to the National Cyber Security Centre.

If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact us at info@cnhc.org.uk or on 020 3327 2720.
