The Macmillan Butterfly Centre at Epsom General Hospital offers information, support and a range of complementary therapies, free of charge, to people affected by cancer. The aim of the therapies is to try to help reduce stress and anxiety and enable people to relax and it is a real opportunity to support people who are going through a very difficult period in their lives.

They are looking for additional therapists who are CNHC registered and have at least 2 years’ post qualification experience in reflexology, massage or aromatherapy. Induction training and ongoing support will be provided and all travel expenses will be paid. There will also be opportunities to meet other volunteers at peer support meetings and social events organised throughout the year.

Therapists generally see three patients (or carers) during one morning or afternoon session on a fortnightly basis; days and times to be negotiated.

If you are interested in joining their team, please contact Teresa Howes on teresa.howes@nhs.net or 01372 735456, for a chat and further information or to arrange to have a look around the centre.
