UCLH is seeking a Complementary Therapist. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a thriving and developing complementary therapy service within a cancer care setting.

Their complementary therapy service, based in the Macmillan Cancer Centre, provides complementary therapies to out-patients in their purpose built therapy rooms, to day-care and ambulatory care patients while they are receiving chemotherapy and other treatments and to in-patients on the hospital wards.

Complementary therapies can make a significant difference to the wellbeing of their patients and their families. They can help reduce stress and anxiety, enable people to cope better with illness and pain control and relieve some of the symptoms or side effects of their treatments.

The complementary therapy team provide sessions of aromatherapy, reflexology, massage, Reiki and relaxation to individuals and also contribute to patient support groups and well-being days, deliver teaching sessions to staff and patients, and work with the charities supporting the service.
