Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust has a new post to join their experienced complementary team to provide complementary therapy services to service users who have a variety of complex mental health conditions.

The post holder will work as a member of this and the MDT to ensure that high-quality, individualised complementary therapy is available to promote recovery for service users in their care. They are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic therapist, with recognised complementary therapy qualification. Knowledge of mental health would also be beneficial (but training can be given). You will need to be able to work independently, have the ability to travel around the city and have excellent communication skills. This role is suitable of new or experienced therapist.

The complementary therapy service is an innovative service which is constantly evaluating, auditing and developing new practice. The successful applicant will be required to work flexibly and have an understanding of the process of change. The role is challenging but enormously rewarding. Job share will be considered.

  • Hours: 37.5 and 0.5 hours per week
  • Salary: £16,968 - £19,852 per annum pro rata

All successful applicants will be required to complete the Trust’s induction programme. The Fundamental (Statutory and Mandatory) training will be in an e-learning format. You will be required to complete training modules online (approx. 9-14 hours depending on post) in your own time prior to any unconditional offer being made.
