Personal Health Budgets - Opportunity for CNHC Registrants

The Department of Health's Personal Health Budgets pilot gives patients receiving NHS support more control over how they spend their budget.  Under the pilot, patients are able to select complementary therapies and in these cases the Department of Health is encouraging commissioners to use CNHC-registered practitioners, where the CNHC registers the discipline concerned.

The pilot will be running until 2012 and creates an opportunity for CNHC-registered practitioners to contact PCTs involved in the pilot to make them aware of their services. Practitioners wanting to know more about the pilots can check the Department of Health's website at:
