Job Opportunity for CNHC registrants at Derby Teaching Hospital

The Nightingale Macmillan Unit at Derby Teaching Hospital requires an experienced Complementary Therapist to join its dedicated team of professional therapists. The role would involve working on an 'as and when' basis to cover holidays, sickness and periods of high clinical activity.

As part of the team of complementary therapists you would be working with people with a variety of conditions, including neurological conditions and cancer. You would work as part of the multi-disciplinary team offering therapy to inpatients, outpatients, day care patients and to relatives known to the service.

The post holder will be required to have :

  • At least 2 years experience as an aromatherapy massage therapist
  • Have a mature and caring outlook with excellent communication skills
  • Be registered and insured

The post holder must also appreciate that due to the nature of the specialty, many of the patients they would be treating would be coming towards the end of their lives which is important consideration when applying for this role.
