Job Opportunity at St Michael’s Hospice in Basingstoke

St Michael’s Hospice, Basingstoke seeks part-time Complementary Therapy Service Coordinator.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Complementary Therapist Service Coordinator to join the multi-disciplinary hospice team providing support and treatments for palliative care patients and their families.

  • You will be required to manage a caseload of patients with a range of diagnoses, working alongside the medical and allied health professional teams within the In Patient Unit (IPU) and with out-patients. A complementary therapy service is also offered to bereaved families in specially designed therapy rooms.
  • The successful candidate will ideally hold a Level 3 qualification in at least two complementary therapies which will enable treatments to be tailored to the patient’s individual requirements. The role will also entail supporting the team of complementary therapy volunteers to ensure an effective and high quality service is delivered.
  • The ideal candidate will also have experience of working with patients within a hospital or palliative care setting but candidates from other backgrounds will also be considered.
  • The ability to work flexibly and within a multi-disciplinary team is essential.

Salary: £19, 217 – 22k WTE per annum pro rata - depending on qualifications and experience
Hours: Part time - 25 hours per week
