Ayrshire Hospice seeks part-time complementary therapist

Ayrshire Hospice is seeking a part-time complementary therapist to work within its expanding ‘Respite and Response’ service. CNHC registrants are welcome to apply.

The successful candidate will provide a range of complementary therapies for patients, their families and carers primarily within the Community setting but also as required within the Hospice.  The role will assist in supporting patients with advanced non-curable disease to be cared for in their own home.  This service has been designed to augment and complement existing services in the community. A flexible approach is required to address the needs of the complementary therapy service.

You must be professionally qualified in a range of Complementary Therapies at NVQ level 3 or equivalent and hold a Professional Practitioner Indemnity Insurance. Previous experience working in the palliative care setting/community setting is desirable as is a current driving license.

  • Salary: Band 3 £16,960 - £19,927 pro rata
  • Hours: 15 hours per week
  • Duration: Fixed Term 18 months
  • Location: Ayr
  • Closing Date: Tuesday 26th April 2016
  • Interviews: anticipated to take place on Wednesday 11th May 2016.
