Complementary Therapies Service at Bart’s Health seeks volunteer practitioner

Complementary Therapies Service at Bart’s Health seeks volunteer practitioner for new pilot project.

The Service is looking for an aromatherapy massage therapist who is willing to commit to working every Tuesday on a voluntary basis for eight weeks as part of a pilot project to help to introduce complementary therapies to the St Bartholomew’s Hospital Cancer Centre.

The successful candidate must have experience of on-site massage or using a massage chair. CNHC registered practitioners are invited to apply.

The pilot will run in September and October 2015. Further volunteering opportunities may be available if the pilot scheme is successful.

Further details are available upon request.

This is an emerging area of medicine and NHS experience and a good reference may help with longer term career prospects.

  • The closing date for this round of applications 1st June 2015
  • Interviews will be held on 16th June 2015.

If you or someone you know is interested please contact Julia Briscoe, Head of Complementary Therapies at Julia.Briscoe@bartshealth.nhs.uk  or Neil Browne, Senior Complementary Therapist at Neil.Browne@bartshealth.nhs.uk for an application form or call 0208 539 5522 ext 5840.
