St Peter’s Hospice seeks volunteer complementary therapists

St Peter’s Hospice in Bristol seeks volunteer practitioners to provide complementary therapies to hospice patients in day hospice, Inpatient Unit and out-patient clinics.

Practitioners must be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in reflexology, aromatherapy or massage and hold professional indemnity insurance. CNHC registrants are welcome to apply.

Successful applicants will need to have sufficient experience to be able to adapt the therapy to the needs of the patient and will be supported in adapting their treatments to people who are unwell.

Induction training and mentoring is provided as well as one to one supervision and a quarterly Complementary Therapies Volunteers Support Group meeting. Uniforms and oils are also provided.

Hours: 3.5 hours per fortnight (minimum)

Days: Mondays to Fridays, daytime or evening
