CNHC Board opens its meetings to observers

From October 2009, three observer places will be available at open sessions of CNHC Board meetings. Future Board meetings are scheduled to take place on the following dates:

1.00 pm - 4.00 pm on:

Thursday 22 October 2009
Thursday 18 February 2010
Tuesday 13 April 2010
Tuesday 13 July 2010
Tuesday 19 October 2010
Tuesday 11 January 2011
Tuesday 12 April 2011

Other action arising from the Board meeting in July included:

  • Agreement by the Board to publish the minutes of open sessions of the Board on CNHC's website, together with CNHC's quarterly activities report and six-monthly performance indicators report
  • Agreement on the appointment of CNHC's auditors
  • Agreement on the process for appointing three new permanent Board members per year from December 2009/January 2010 onwards
  • Agreement on a statement about the role of professional fora for each discipline - see How the CNHC works with the professions for further information
