CNHC Update: Activities in late July-August

Maggy Wallace and Maggie Dunn, as Chair and CEO, have variously undertaken (separately and/or jointly) a range of activities which included

  • Progressing a range of items arising from the Board meeting on 23 July 2009, which included finalising a statement on professional fora (see How does the CNHC work with Professional Associations for further information). The Board also had a lengthy debate on the subject of openness and transparency and agreed that the full minutes of the open session of the Board meeting should be made available on the CNHC website.
  • Meetings with the Reflexology and Shiatsu Profession Specific Boards (PSBs). We now have six PSBs established - in addition to those for Reflexology and Shiatsu, we also have PSBs for Nutritional Therapy, Massage Therapy, Aromatherapy and Yoga Therapy
  • A visit to the complementary therapy unit at University College London Hospital - this was an excellent opportunity to see integrated healthcare in action
